Is Wings Right for You?
Wings treats adults whose main concern is mental health. If another program would serve you better, admissions will tell you plainly and help you find it.
A good fit for mental health care, and when another program fits better
The clinical assessment confirms the fit. These are the general lines.
Wings is a good fit for
Adults 18 and over
Separate programs for men and for women, including young adults.
Mental health as the main concern
Depression, trauma, anxiety, bipolar disorder, BPD, OCD and more, with drinking or drug use treated alongside.
Able to take part in residential life
Medically stable, able to join groups and daily routines, and willing to start treatment.
Ready for more than weekly therapy
Often after outpatient care, a hospital stay or a crisis.
Another program fits better for
Addiction or detox as the main concern
Admissions will help you find an addiction program or detox.
Active psychosis
A hospital is the safer first step. Wings can be the next one.
A primary eating disorder
A specialized eating disorder program fits better.
Under 18
Admissions can point you to adolescent care.
Needs hospital-level psychiatric or medical care
Stabilize in a hospital first, then call about stepping down.
Court-mandated treatment
Admissions can point you to programs set up for court-ordered care.
Medi-Cal or Medicare only
Admissions can explain private pay or point you to programs that accept your plan.
If you are in danger right now, call 911. For a mental health or suicide crisis, call or text 988.
Mental health conditions Wings treats most often
Many people have more than one. They are treated together, on one plan.
A free assessment answers it
You do not have to work out the fit on your own. The assessment is free and confidential, and if Wings is not right, admissions helps with the next step instead of leaving you with a no.
Wings works with many PPO insurance plans
Admissions verifies your benefits before admission, free and confidential. For Medi-Cal or Medicare, admissions can point you to programs that accept them.
Questions about fit, age and the conditions Wings treats
Addiction, psychosis, eating disorders, age and how to check the fit.
Don't see your question?
Admissions answers calls 9 a.m.–5 p.m., seven days a week. Calls are confidential.
